Key Leader is a weekend Service Leadership Retreat for high school students and college freshmen. Key Leader’s curriculum is based on Robert Greenleaf’s texts on servant leadership. These key areas are shown in the badges scattered throughout these pages. Key Leader has changed students, and the adults who work during this weekend.

There are five groups of people at a given Key Leader event: Student Participants, Student Facilitators, Adult Chaperones, the Lead Facilitator and Visiting Adults. Student Facilitators are returning Student Participants that are working with the Lead Facilitator and the Adult Chaperones. They are the leaders of the small group exercises. Student Participants, by far the largest of the groups, are the students who are there to explore what it means to become a better leader.

Key Leader, in Wisconsin-Upper Michigan District (WIUM), is run by Kiwanians.
