Here's an idea of what our schedule looks like.
Friday:
2 pm -- Student Facilitator/Lead Facilitator Meeting: Welcome, introductions & expectations for the weekend.
3 pm -- Facilitators, Chaperones put final touches in place before student participants start to arrive
4 pm -- Time to warm up and meet others -- help arrivals check in, find their place and get settled in
6 pm -- Dinner
From 7 pm until curfew (11:15 pm)
- Neighborhood meetings
- Learn the value of working together as a community or “neighborhood”. Break into teams to create the neighborhood as part of the service leadership training. What does your community look like?
- Break and refreshments
- Servant leadership
- Presentation of and open discussion identifying the five Key Leader principles of the program:
- Personal Integrity – doing the right thing
- Personal Growth – developing in mind, body and spirit
- Respect – Showing consideration for self, others and property
- Building Community – Developing relationships to achieve positive goals
- Pursuit of Excellence – Expecting and achieving the best
Saturday:
8 am -- Breakfast
8:45 am -- Morning session begins with The excellent Key Leader
- Personal integrity: Personal and organizational values
- Personal growth: Listening
- Personal growth: Personality styles
- Personal growth: Taking risks
12 pm -- Lunch and group picture
1:30-5:30 -- Low ropes course or break
6 pm -- Dinner
7 pm -- Resume with Respect & Building community
10:30 pm -- Community celebration then pack and clean up.
11:30 pm -- curfew
Sunday:
8 am -- Breakfast
9 am -- Saturday review, Pursuit of excellence, closing ceremony/graduation
11:00 pm Head out for home!
